How to play
Five steps to a haunted house.
- Gather your huntersHost a hunt and invite up to three friends on nearby iPhones or iPads, or hunt alone.
- Build the haunted mapScan your rooms together, across multiple floors or out in the yard.
- Follow the heartbeatThe ghost’s heartbeat gets louder as you close in. Watch for its ectoplasmic blue glow, and switch on night vision in dim rooms.
- Catch itGet close, hold it in your sights and catch it before it flees. Speed and streaks earn bonus points.
- Keep huntingGhosts never stay caught for long. They reappear somewhere new until the clock runs out.

Is Haunt and Seek free?
Yes. Haunt and Seek is free to download and play, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
How many people can play?
One to four players. Hunt alone, or host a hunt and invite up to three friends on nearby iPhones or iPads.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone with iOS 16 or later, iPad with iPadOS 16 or later, and Macs with Apple silicon running macOS 13 or later.
Do we need internet for multiplayer?
Multiplayer connects over your home WiFi or Bluetooth. It won’t work over guest WiFi networks, and all devices should be on the same iOS version for the best experience.
Can I play outdoors?
Yes. Scan rooms across multiple floors of your home, or map out an outdoor space and hunt there.
Is it too scary for kids?
Haunt and Seek is rated 9+ for infrequent horror and fear themes. Easy mode lets players see the ghost through walls, which makes it a good fit for younger hunters.
Does the game record my home?
No. The game needs your camera and motion access to work, but we do not capture or store any video, images or environment data it uses.
